Happy Valentine's Day (A Little Late :)

HAPPY, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!! :)
or, as Ava would say Appy Valentime's Day to You :)
or, as Grant would say Appy Appy :)
Our Beautiful "Heart Felt" Chandelier
Ava making her Valentines (we tried to include Grant in this process, but he decided he was going to be ornery and throw them all over, so Ava and I waited until Grant's nap time to finish)
LUV YA too, Ava :)

Super (Bowl) Snowball Fight

Last Sunday, we had a little battle of the balls, no not footballs, but snowballs, between, you guessed it, the Saints and the Colts, but in our version, the Colts actually won!! :) Matt and the kids built snow forts and then they had a snowball fight (okay, I did help JD with his fort, but the fight was mostly between Matt and JD, since Ava hid behind the wall the whole time and Grant, well he was too busy watching all the snowballs fly past him :) In the end, Matt and Ava (the Colts) won, and JD and Grant lost, but that's okay, because when it really mattered (during the Superbowl) they did end up winning!! What a game!!

The Colts, Ava and Matt vs..........

The Saints, JD and Grant!!!!!!!!

There's nothing like a "friendly" little game of snowball throwing!!

Snow, Snow, Go Away (s-NO-w more snow)

Okay, I usually love a good snowfall, but this year, I can honestly say, I'm done with all of it....please, please, please just stop snowing!!! Okay, I guess it's not that bad, but I am dreaming of warmer days, and am very anxious for spring to come. It seems like every time I turn on the news, there's more snow in the forecast, and although we do enjoy playing outside in it, I don't know how many more times I can tell the kids to stay away from the "yellow" snow!! :) I did manage to get some beautiful pictures of this year's snowfalls and I'm sure this summer, when it's 100 degrees, I'll look back on these pictures and wish it was winter again, oh my indecisive mind :)
Our beautiful, magical, snow-covered backyard!
The "mega-icicle" outside our window
This wonderful pile of ice, yes I said ice, put a big ole' dent in the side of our truck :(
It's crazy how this snow pile is almost as high as my Acura.
Well, I hope this rainbow leads us to some warmer weather!!

A Hair-Raising Good Time

Well, with all this snow, the kids have been enjoying lots of in-door playtime and luckily for us, they got lots (and I mean lots) of new toys for Christmas to enjoy!! Grant got this inflatable ball cage that he and Ava have been jumping in, the only problem is that when they get out of it, there's so much static, their hair stands straight up, which makes for some pretty funny pictures :) The kids have also had fun making crafts (well, Ava has anyways, JD just goes along with what Ava wants, and Grant, he just enjoys making the messes)
